Celebrating the Holiday Season at GMi Companies

The holiday season is always a special time at GMi Companies, and this year we wrapped it up with a full week of festive events that brought our team together across the office and manufacturing plant. From friendly competition to spreading cheer, it was a great reminder of what makes GMi, the parent company of Ghent, such a special place to work.

Supporting Our Community

Every year, GMi makes a commitment to supporting our local community and finding ways to give back. This year, we sponsored three local children through Warren County Children Services, including clothes, winter gear, and toys to make the holiday special.

Tuesday: Ugly Christmas Sweater Competition

We kicked off the week with one of our most anticipated traditions: the annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Competition. Employees showed up in full holiday spirit, featuring humorous designs to full Christmas outfits.

The winning look? A bold Christmas sweater jumpsuit worn by product designer Ryan Castle, which earned top honors and plenty of laughs. Events like this are a fun way we celebrate creativity, camaraderie, and not taking ourselves too seriously, especially during the busiest time of year.

Wednesday: Santa Came to GMi

On Wednesday, the holiday cheer continued when Kevin Johnson, VP of Sales, suited up as Santa Claus to surprise employees throughout the office and plant. Armed with candy canes and a lot of festive energy, Santa made his rounds spreading smiles, laughter, and a little extra holiday joy.

Moments like this highlight what we value most at GMi Companies: people first, connection across teams, and finding meaningful ways to recognize everyone who helps make our products special.

Thursday: Holiday Party at Great Wolf Lodge

We wrapped up the week with our annual GMi Companies Holiday Party, hosted at Great Wolf Lodge. The celebration included a Christmas lunch, holiday-themed games, and exciting door prizes, including gift cards, yeti mugs and even a stay at Great Wolf Lodge.

It was a perfect way to come together, reflect on the year, and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our entire team.

While the festivities and competitions are fun, the holiday season is a time for GMi to represent some of its core values, such as doing the right thing, being caring and compassionate, and promoting teamwork. We design industry-leading visual communication products, are proud to be an Ohio-based manufacturer, and celebrate the people at the heart of everything we do.
