When going through a lengthy process of a remodel or a new construction, one of the biggest costs that slips under the rug is labor costs. Overly complicated installations can jack up labor costs by requiring additional labor that was not anticipated or by taking longer due to additional steps, measuring and re-measuring, and special tools and training. For products like glassboards, this cost can add up quickly in a big installation project.
Ghent’s Aria Quick Grid has been able to reduce installation time, reduce labor, and increase efficiency. With easy placement and instructions for installers, you can install all the hardware for a glassboard using one installer, only needing a second installer for hanging. Watch this video to see how easy the installation process can be:
This installation process was created by our engineering team to help reduce damage rates and increase efficiency. With the pre-made spacers, this removes the guesswork in measuring. Simply level and hang the lower support bar, then locate the placement stickers for the spacers for the cleats. Once the cleats are leveled and attached in place, the spacers can be removed, and the board can be installed.
This method is shown to be easier than having a pre-constructed grid, which requires 2-3 installers per board. They only need to measure the location of the lower support bar, which reduces errors in measuring and placement of the boards. Having a series of cleats also accounts for imperfections in the wall, where spacing and adjustment can happen if necessary. This is crucial for building remodels or uneven wall surfaces for a seamless installation.
For one board, this makes a small impact. But the more boards for install, the greater the savings. Explore our Glassboard Installation Savings Calculator to see how much you could potentially save on labor with the Quick Grid installation:
