Ghent's most recent expansion into the outdoor space with GRVT has caused commotion in the industry. It has shifted the view of many and in doing so has been nominated up for a vote to be one of Interior Design's Best of Year products.
The Interior Design Best of Year is a premiere design awards program within the design industry. Honoring the most significant work of the year as well as recognizing designers, architects, and manufacturers from around the globe. Ghent is honored to be included in this years running for the top spot and with your help, can help bring home the award for Best of Year.
Ghent's innovative GRVT® (pronounced gra-vuh-tee, like gravity) allows collaboration to happen anywhere. With the ability to be used either inside or outside, as a table or as a mobile writing surface, the GRVT® is the solution to maximizing your space and bringing flexibility to your meetings. Designed to break physical barriers, bringing people together like the force of gravity. This fosters natural collaboration inside and outside the building, empowering employees to tailor their work environment to their changing demands.
The ideation of GRVT was the result of producing a mobile workspace that can combat the modern-day obstacles that a user faces in the continuously changing work environment. Workspaces are getting smaller as remote options become more prevalent in the current corporate environment. Now more than ever, time spent in a physical environment with your coworkers or business partners is incredibly important. No less important is the ability to have these collaborations wherever and whenever is convenient and preferred.
Listening to the customers' voice, researching how people are working today and the way they would want to work in a perfect scenario set the framework for GRVT to be created. Exploring what drives someone to come into the office in a world where their work can be completed remotely along with what challenges they are facing when they make that commute. By putting prototypes in front of users and seeing how they interact with GRVT, it allowed us to see how they want to sit, what they are touching, where they want to work, and the ways the user connects with one another once there.
