2022 was another record year of sales growth for Ghent. With sales growth also comes the opportunity for professional growth and exciting personnel changes. Jay Kuhn, Christye Leasure, and Cory Goodwin have all been promoted and Kevin Johnson has rejoined the team.
"We are thrilled to announce these organizational changes," John D'Agostino, GMi President, said. "With a 10-year track record of growth and a record finish in 2022, we are confident our team's passion, talent, and experience will lead us to new heights. These changes are critical to our growth and will help write the next chapter of our family-owned business story."
First, Jay Kuhn, GMi team member for 5 years, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Under Kuhn's leadership, the supply chain team has driven customer-based results and transformative changes to consolidate operations as one Ghent brand. Current shipping records, on-time delivery records, and production volume records have all occurred under his leadership.
Christye Leasure has been promoted to Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. Leasure's unique experience, insight, and connection to the broader business community will help us pursue opportunities previously felt to be out of reach. In previous roles, Leasure provided leadership in acquiring other businesses, worked with local and state governments to maintain full operation during the pandemic, and expanded the Ghent facility from design to ground-breaking to occupancy.
Kevin Johnson has rejoined the GMi family as Vice President of Sales. Johnson brings over 15 years of sales and leadership experience to GMi's dynamic sales organization. Prior to joining GMi, Johnson gained expertise in accelerating business growth and uncovering new market opportunities, most recently as Market Vice President at MillerKnoll-aligned dealer APG Office Furnishings, and before that with GMi focused on the commercial furniture market.
Finally, Cory Goodwin has been promoted to Director of Scheduling & Logistics. Over the last 7 years, Goodwin has developed a remarkable level of subject matter expertise regarding GMi operations. Her previous roles include roles in Logistics, Scheduling, Finance, and Customer Experience. Goodwin's drive for continuous improvement and excellence in operations has become a significant advantage.
"We have a talented team in place to deliver on growth plans in the coming years. I am thrilled we were able to promote so many positions internally – the amount of personal professional development has been remarkable," added D'Agostino. "We are well-positioned to help our customers find the right solution for communication and collaboration challenges in 2023 and beyond."
